Phillip H. McNeill, Sr.

Phillip McNeill is Chairman of McNeill Hospitality Corporation since 1984 and McNeill Commercial Real Estate, LLC since 1977, a real estate investment and brokerage company with interests in hotels, health care, retail, office, residential and industrial properties. Mr. McNeill is also a partner in Chartwell Hospitality, a developer and manager of hotels and Veritas a developer and manager of health care facilities. From 1963 to 1977, he served in various capacities, including President and CEO, with Schumacher Mortgage Company, Inc., a subsidary of Time, Inc. From the inception in 1994, until the sale in 2007, McNeill was Chairman and CEO of Equity Inns, Inc., a NYSE company.

Phillip McNeill has served as President and Director of the Memphis Mortgage Bankers Association, the Tennessee State Mortgage Bankers Association, and the Board of Trustees of the University of Memphis Foundation, National Commerce Financial (NYSE), Interstate Hotel Corporation (NYSE) and Wetlands America Trust. He is currently on the Board of Trustees of Rhodes College.
